Mimetic interface game

In the article, Juul mentioned “Mimetic interface games provide great improvement in user friendliness and usability compared to many traditional video games” 
we now can see many WII ads showing that whole family including parents, or even grandparents playing the game with their children. No one actually even imagined that young people can enjoy games with their parents. I think the mimetic interface games brought not only great improvement to our game life but also the new wave of game industry.

Juul wrote “Mimetic interface games are easy to learn because they draw upon familiar conventions from outside video games, but the large-scale physical movements that players perform also make it easier to learn to play by looking at other players” Before WII, it was pretty difficult for my parents to play game at home because most games takes long time to get used to it. but WII changed the concept of what the game would be for people, One day My dad bought WII for exercising. He thought it would be very fun working out with WII, and it really was. since the mimetic interface games are easy to learn, my whole family could hardly find any difficulty when we were playing together. I was very glad to see that my parents enjoy themselves with WII games especially WII golf. 

We face a situation where mimetic interface games are playing important role in game industry. The more improvements WII and mimetic interface games are making, the more people will like the games.
